Fall 2017 Photographer Residency

As part of our ongoing People on Bikes YYC project, we are looking for our next resident photographer to take over our Instagram feed and help fill it full of artful, beautiful photos of everyday Calgarians on their bikes. The fall residency will run from September - December 2017.

Photos will include an assortment of pre-arranged bicycle portraits with brief subject profiles as well as street photography along the Cycle Track Network capturing the diversity of urban life with bikes. We target a posting rate of three or more photos per week. Portrait session sign-ups are managed by us and we also provide model release forms.

Who are you?

You are passionate about photography and are looking for a cool project to build your portfolio, elevate your profile and use your talents for the forces of city-building in Calgary. You have a good eye and high attention to detail. You’re adept with shooting outdoors and care about promoting cycling culture in Calgary.

What we’re offering

In addition to being part of a kickass team that’s building support for more bicycle infrastructure in Calgary you will be profiled on our website with links to your personal portfolio and info. We will be working with you to showcase your work across our social media platforms. To date, we have had widespread exposure across Calgary with features in ShifterGlobal News and the Calgary Herald - including a full feature 6-page photo spread in Swerve Magazine.
